DC Birthday Party Photography: Coop is 1!!!

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

It’s not often I get to go and shoot a sweet one-year birthday party. Cooper celebrated with close family and friends at their home in Silver Springs. Very casual. Very sweet.

Cooper decided to skip his morning nap. But instead of being a boy that breaks down, he just rubbed his eyes, cuddled a little, looked a little sleepy now and then. And then he went to bed before his guests left, like any proper guest-of-honor should do. ; )

“OH yeah! The cake is coming!”

“Why was I happy the cake is coming?”

“No more cakes. The clean up isn’t worth it.”

Headed back to Cali!

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

We had a BIG trip to California. I yanked the girls out of the comfy VA home to play in their homeland. I had plenty of pregnant ladies and a very happy family event to shoot during our stay.

Happy Birthday Big Guy. And just for that, you get some bunny ears and a sloppy kiss from Nut. We were at Sam’s in Tiburon–it’s as beautiful as I remembered.

We headed up to Healdsburg to spend the day at Truett Hurst winery. This place is amazing with delicious wines. It really, really made me miss California.  It’s situated right on Dry Creek and was perfect for photos.  I wish I could bring it to VA with me.

Jen and Mark:  Baby boy coming his way in May

Some people just can’t take life seriously.  Eunice–twins are due in June.  Dave–just eating for two.

Tana is always, always beautiful.  But she gets even more radiant with a baby boy on board:

Meredith and Bailey. Pure Newborn Love:

Jen and Mark and their shower. It’s so, so good when a family can laugh together at speeches that contain lines like “And finally get winky dink.” The first grandson is making his way into the Griffith Family. Love this moment:

Ride to Thrive and more…

Monday, October 26th, 2009

My first polo match ever (can’t believe it–5 years in VA and I haven’t made it to a single Gold Cup) is behind the camera. I gifted a day’s worth of shooting to Ride To Thrive, simply because it is worth it!

My So Cool Sokols. I’ve been getting together with this family for a couple of years, finding new places to play every year. This year we met some rain and clouds at Glen Echo Park. I LOVE this place and family!

The Gonzalazes first met me through The Trevor Birdie Davis Annual Golf Tournament–a charity saving childrens’ lives by training teachers in Infant Swim Resource. They bought my services at the silent auction, and have been become regulars since. The kids are just adorable…
