San Francisco Food Photography: Enjoying some different exposure

Saturday, August 25th, 2012

While still in DC I had a lot of calls looking for corporate work, which I had to refer on–I had too much on plate.  But in San Francisco, I am opening myself up to it and loving it.

The most beautiful Jean from the most delicious 479 Popcorn company collaborated to make portraits of her home and kitchen.  She is continually taking calls from editors looking images of her with her popcorn in her kitchen.  They worked out beautifully.

I am so glad to see corporate head shots moving away from the dull gray background and into something a little more organic & natural.  It was very cool to see my work in Forbes and on GGVs site.

San Francisco Portrait Photography: Around the states, and home again.

To say I had a summer to go down in the the record books would be an understatement (link to my Facebook business page for photos here). I was blessed to not only have my girls, a Vanagon, a husband when he could be there, and many, many friends in our 9000 miles trek, but I was also blessed to see some clients I adore along the way. More on our X-country journey later.

Jenna and Mark have been in my life since I met them in Skippack, PA to talk about their wedding.  We were a perfect fit and I adored their wedding, their style, their family and their friends.  They are magnificent.  We followed that up an amazing Trash the Dress to follow. And now you know what comes next–the baby bump. Jenna, always gorgeous, is stunning in pregnancy as well.

And how lucky am I that I followed this family from DC, where we met twice, to their new home in NY, close to where we visit Camp Cottage Crayton on Conesus every summer. These kids make my day. Zoe is a total crack up and Max has caught up.  They are forces in the best way.

I showed up just in time for a freaky rain storm. We ran outside to get a few pics, but that ended quickly. Inside for some play and downtime and playtime.  Adorable!
