Peabody Library: Baltimore Wedding Photography: November 13th 2010: Mike & Meghan

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Having already shot Mike & Meghan during their engagement session, I knew they would be very sweet, laid back, and great to spend the day with. They know each other well, and feel very comfortable in each others’ arms. Love is good, and sweet, in this family. I was so glad to be a part of their day.

This was a wedding full of favorites and firsts. I have never shot at the Peabody Library in Baltimore before. I look forward to going back again. It is stunning, even if they do NOT let photographers, or clients, have access to 99% of it. You get the dance/reception floor only. But for gorgeousness, as you sit and look up, it almost can not be topped.

I did my first little food shoot for Treats by Erica. Meghan saw the pictures on my blog and ordered them as wedding favors. uh… yum!. So yummy that I got to use the scraps left behind for the wedding ring shot.  I think having local chocolate covered pretzels as favors is brilliant.

My new favorite event band–James Gerard Orchestra— is simply because not only did they kick it from GaGa to Sinatra , they played for THREE straight hours. They took one break all evening (dinner), and then played, and played, and played. They even went 15 minutes over their scheduled time. Talk about customer service and creating loyalty. Even after 10 hours on my feet, I was dancing behind the camera.

I met Marno Muth at Foundation Conference for the first time in person. He pinged when he saw my work on FWForum, realizing I was a local VA photographer that wasn’t just doing the cookie-cutter photography. He second shot this wedding with me, and I can’t wait to put our images together and get them delivered to Mike and Meghan!

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club: Annapolis Wedding Photography: Lauren and Jimmy

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

All I can say is …. BIG SMILES! Lauren and Jimmy are so sweet together. You can tell they are a couple that sees each other honestly, and loves what they see. They have beautiful family and friends to boot.

The Chesepeake Bay Beach Club is a gorgeous venue located right over the Bay Bridge from Annapolis. There were so many little extras that made this wedding even more visually stunning. Having chose navy blue as the main color, they offset it with a gorgeous magenta that just leapt off of the blue. The bridal party carried their magenta bouquets and the men wore navy jackets on top of cream pants (stunning by the water). Jimmy groom wore an beautiful cream (not khaki) suit. Lauren’s perfectly matching gown shined on her!

So much love:

Stone Manor Country Club, Maryland Wedding Photography: Lenea & Mike get married

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Having met Lenea at Heather & Chase’s wedding last year, I was so happy she loved my work and hired me. They chose the Stone Manor, which I have never been to, but fell in love with instantly. I could honestly spend another day shooting there–the options are limitless and the staff is incredibly nice and welcoming.

Lenea and Mike are a match made in heaven. They share their love of the sciences (both are chemists), have a special sweetness toward each other, and Lenea more than makes up for Mike being slight camera weary. I loved that Lenea was ready to shine on her wedding day. She looked stunning, wore a beautiful dress with a gorgeous and timelessly perfect corset below.

Here’s their sneak peek:
